Judgment Lien Search


An Upper Court Judgment Search is a judgment lien search in New Jersey that consists of a Certified Search of judgments, liens, and bankruptcies filed in the New Jersey Superior Court, the U.S. District Court for New Jersey and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for New Jersey. A judgment search also includes a search of child support judgments filed in New Jersey and CERCLA liens (aka “Superfund” liens).

Judgment searches can be run for any time period, usually up to twenty years, which is the statute of limitations for judgment liens filed in New Jersey. Docketed judgment extend as a lien on real estate and property in New Jersey and have a statewide general lien status.

Child Support Judgement Search


NJ State legislation requires, under N.J.S.A. 2A:17-56.23(b), that attorneys in civil actions must ascertain whether their clients are child support judgment debtors before releasing funds from a monetary award or settlement. To facilitate and ensure compliance with the law, we include Child Support Judgment Searches as part of our standard search report.

Patriot Name Search


A Patriot Name Search is a Certified Search of published databases by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of Treasury (“OFAC”). The databases queried are; the “Foreign Sanctions Evaders” , the “Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons”, and the comprehensive “Consolidated List”. Effective September 24, 2001, Executive Orders 13224, 13268 and 13608 requires anyone conducting a financial transaction to determine if the person(s) with whom they are doing business are listed on the Blocked Persons list. The USA PATRIOT Act of 2001 requires a check of names that appear on OFAC’s “The Consolidated List” before transacting business.
